A. Link to an External Site - Type the full web path to an outside website, for example http://www.sephone.com. This must always start with http://.
B. Link to a Page on Your Site - Click on the dropdown next to "Page" and select a page. If the page does not exist, you will need to create it first.
C. Link to a PDF or other Document - Click on the dropdown next to "Asset" and select a document. If you have not uploaded your document yet, you can click on "Upload a new asset" to upload it now. You can also click on the Assets tab at the top of the screen to upload multiple files at once (be sure to save your work first!). When this link is clicked the viewer will either see the pdf in their browser or be prompted to download the pdf or document, depending on the browser. (*Note: PDFs cannot be displayed on a page, you would need to convert it to an image and display the image.)
D. Email Address - Type a full email address, for instance example@yourcompany.com. When this link is clicked on, the viewer's default mail client will open with this email address in the "To" field.
E. Target - When you link to an external site (and sometimes a pdf or other document) it is generally a good idea to have the new site or document open in a new window so that when that site is closed, your site is not. From the dropdown, select "New Window (_blank)".
When you have made your selections, click OK.
