Adding a New Page
- Start by clicking on the Architecture tab at the top of your screen.
- To add a page at the top level (for example, in the image to the right About Us is at the top level) click on "Web Pages" once to highlight it (as shown to the right) and then click on the Insert Page icon (See 1).
To add a page one level down (for example, in the image to the right Page 1 is one level down and will show up in a dropdown menu underneath Information) click on a top level page (in this example, Information) and click on the Insert Page icon (See 1).
To add a page two levels down (for example, in the image to the right Page 2 is two levels down and will show up in a dropdown menu underneath Page 1) click on a page that's one level down (in this example, Page 1) and click on the Insert Page icon (See 1).
When adding a page, click on the page that is one level higher than where you want the new page to be. If you want the new page to be at the highest level, click on Web Pages before clicking on the Insert Page icon.
- A screen will load with options such as Page Name, Order, Theme and Modules.
A. Basic Information - Name your page. The name should be formatted like a title with spaces and capital letters. This name will also appear at the top of the internet browser as the page title.
If you know where in the hierarchy you would like this page to go, you can select its order from the Order dropdown. By default, new pages are added at the bottom.
Each site has its own custom themes. Themes determine the look of the area surrounding the content you control. If you have any questions regarding which theme to choose, give us a call!
Visibility: Determines whether a page shows in the navigation area on your site. Hidden pages can still be linked to in content and accessed if the viewer has the url to the page.
D. Modules - There are a variety of modules available from Forms to Image Galleries to Calendars. Modules vary from site to site - click here for a full list. By default each new page has Standard Content, which is where you would put text, images, links, etc.
To add a new module, pick it from the dropdown and click the green plus sign. Click the red X next to a module to remove it, but be sure to always have at least one module on a page. When you have more than one module you will notice black up and down arrows that can be used to determine the order the modules appear in on the page.
- When you are done, click "Create Page"
